Just a quick blog housekeeping post to let you know that my blog domain name is now www.handmadejane.co.uk. Obviously I would have preferred .com but the domain name was only available for upwards of $700!!!! Eh no, I didn't want it that badly! Blogger will redirect automatically from www.handmadejane.blogspot.com.
I have to admit, I don't have a clue about this sort of thing, it's my friend Sarah who's been doing all the donkey work - thanks Sarah! There have been a few teething problems which I won't bore you with, but hopefully they'll be ironed out soon.
Right, back to the sewing machine where polka dots aplenty await me… x

ReplyDeleteNo, the old blogspot address automatically redirects so you shouldn't have to do anything. Bloglovin will hopefully transfer the followers to the new address in the next couple of days (fingers crossed!) x
DeleteCongrats! I remember when I bought my business domain rachelchurch.com was not available (owned by a church, actually!) so I had to use rachelchurch.net. Then a few years later while renewing .net it pops up "we think you would be interested in these domains as well, and at a special rate!" So I ended up with .com after all, and for very little $! You never know, maybe it will happen for you too!

ReplyDeleteAwesome! I just bought my own domain name, and I'm in the process of setting it up. I can't wait to go from vintagezest.blogspot.com to vintagezest.com soon! I (and other readers) would love to know the process of switching, if you wouldn't mind sharing, even if it's not sewing related. :)
