This help to give a central 'point' ahem, to the shape and is more flattering to any bust size. Doesn't need to be a deep dart, about 3cm pinched in running out to just below the bust point would do it :)MrsC (Maryanne)https://www.blogger.com/profile/14440723067459232998noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4512115797894439080.post-33206359179113902702012-06-21T19:22:18.753+01:002012-06-21T19:22:18.753+01:00I reckon even if you made this into the full dress...I reckon even if you made this into the full dress it would look glorious such is that awesome bodice.....ie even this calico would look fab....Scruffybadgerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18298057071412471482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4512115797894439080.post-86235160946655351652012-06-21T18:44:53.326+01:002012-06-21T18:44:53.326+01:00Love the red halter dress, and I am sure you will ...Love the red halter dress, and I am sure you will love the finished garment. Vogue patterns are my favorite, and their fit are pretty spot on for me. Not to mention that the directions are good. Muslins are the way to go, and especially when you only have a specified amount of material. I always say, don't limit sewing garments according to the weather because you might end up traveling to a climate where you need a summer dress, winter coat, shorts, or sweaters. Best to make what you like and layer if needed. Looking forward to seeing your final garment!learningnewtrickshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15757038700924638755noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4512115797894439080.post-49116501904085401232012-06-21T18:27:07.491+01:002012-06-21T18:27:07.491+01:00Well I must say first of all, that you sure do man...Well I must say first of all, that you sure do manage to get an amazing fit for not making muslins - i never would have guessed!!

And I'm such a sucker for a halter neck, this is going to be so dreamy on you - I can't wait to see it! :)Symonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17965640501644567685noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4512115797894439080.post-8767962278695696242012-06-21T14:26:52.374+01:002012-06-21T14:26:52.374+01:00That's going to be one foxy dress in the cherr...That's going to be one foxy dress in the cherry print fabric!agirlinwinterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02176271184746250169noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4512115797894439080.post-6636470870260196062012-06-21T14:13:47.521+01:002012-06-21T14:13:47.521+01:00Oh this is going to be spectacular!
